The research group of Dr. Anja Philippi is looking for a highly motivated, ambitious student to fill a Ph.D. position in the field of immunotherapy development. Our team combines immune cell-based therapeutic strategies with innovative drug delivery concepts in order to develop novel therapeutic options for the treatment of cancer. The successful applicant will be involved in interdisciplinary projects that are carried out in close cooperation with scientists from the University of Saarland and the University Hospital Homburg/Saar. She/He will apply a broad spectrum of molecular and cell biological methods, e.g. isolation and cultivation of primary human immune cells, flow-cytometry and fluorescence microscopy, to further develop existing cellular drug delivery systems. stage, in vivo studies with transgenic and tumor-bearing mice.
We are looking for candidates holding a diploma or master in Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology or related fields who are interested in conducting applied research in a multidisciplinary environment. A profound knowledge of immunology and cell biology, practical experience in cell cultivation and good English skills are expected. Moreover, applicants should be willing to conduct animal experiments.
We offer excellent working conditions in well-equipped cell and molecular biology laboratories. The successful applicant will experience competent supervision in a highly motivated and supportive research team. The salary is comparable to TV-L E13/2. Starting date: as soon as possible.
