Applications are invited from graduates with a diploma (master degree or equivalent) in molecular biology, biochemistry or immunology to study mechanisms of autoimmune inflammation. The project will closely interact with several projects of the Division that aim to analyze the pathophysiological role of T* cells in autoimmune diseases* and the implementation of these findings into the clinical setting.
The project is funded by the Programm für Forschung und Lehre at the medical faculty of the Universtiy of Munich. Close interactions with other projects within the Division and PhD projects within the graduate program „Oligonucleotides“ (GraKo 1202) and projects within the center grants „Autoimmunity“ (SFB 571) and Immune Decisions (SFB 895) will be established. The molecular biology laboratory of the Division of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology has been recently established and permits the complete spectrum of all methods required in modern molecular immunology.
Applicants who are highly motivated and capable to work independent as well as a part of a team, have a strong interest in basic science of inflammation and translational research, have experience in flow cytometry, cell culture, molecular biological and immunological techniques and are looking for an interesting project within a stimulating ambience under close supervision in an interdisciplinary, international research team should send their application with two references no later than November 15th to:
